mystery surrounding Burgundy wines can stem from a lack of information. The
Clos de Vougeot field is a perfect example. This Grand Cru is the single
largest Grand Cru field in all of Burgundy at 50 hectares (125 acres). However
at the latest count there was over 86 different owners. Who owns what and
where? Unless you visit the field on a daily basis throughout the year, it is
very difficult to answer this question- until now!
This beautifully crafted and impressive map shows us not only the different owners names, it also indicates the size of the different ownership plot within the Clos de Vougeot. This artistic map is the first time this ownership detail has been available to the general public.
